I recently had the wonderful job of capturing David and Sarah’s Wedding Day. The ceremony was held at a great little reserve at South Shelly Beach. David had some mates in the bridal party that have been living overseas and it was fantastic to get photos with them. Their beautiful ceremony was conducted by Silvia Wilson Marriage Celebrant and the grounds decorated by Decorations to you We then headed onto the beach for bridal photos but due to the strong winds headed over to Long Jetty for more photos. Their Reception was held at Toowoon Bay Surf Club.
Wow- what a wedding! This is one wedding which left me speechless. I meet up with the bride and groom before the ceremony at Magenta shores for the “Getting ready” photos. The rooms and gardens are just fantastic for photos. The day was very warm and the ceremony on the lawn next to the golf course and water was the perfect spot. After the ceremony we headed to a nearby beach for photos and then back to Magenta shores for photos on the golf course. There are just so many great photos. I wish I could fit them all in the blog. The reception was held in the main function room which has fantastic views of the golf course. Nicole and Phil make an excellent couple, and it was a pleasure to capture their special day. It’s great to work at a fantastic venue with an awesome family. I’m sure they will cherish their wedding photos forever.
Rain rain go away..... Considering the weather, this wedding has been one of the best weddings this year. The ceremony was held at a private location in Terrigal with fantastic gardens. From there we ventured out to The Haven for photos under umbrellas. The rain did stop for 20 mins allowing us some time to go back outdoors and capture fantastic images near The Skillion. Louise and Shane’s reception was held at Trojans Terrigal. Thanks to everyone being fantastic sports in the wet conditions. I had a so much fun.
On Saturday 26th September, I shot Dennis and Renee’s beautiful wedding at Forrestes Beach Resort. The fantastic celebrant, Tony Thorrington performed the ceremony. Location photos where taken at Toowoon Bay. Ashley from AJ digital Productions was on hand as the videographer to capture everything as it happened. The whole day was intimate and warm and a complete pleasure to be a part of! Congratulations!
Congratulations. The delightful Mardi and Chris tied the knot at Warners Bay on 19th September 2009. After the ceremony we stopped at a row of trees that runs along the road at Spiers Point for some quick shots of the newly weds. It was then off to Awaba House and the nearby jetty for photos with the biggest Limo I have ever seen, Bridal Party and of cause more of Mardi and Chris. Thier reception was held at Club Macquarie. Thank you so much for making me part of your day, I am so thrilled with the results.
On a very windy afternoon I ventured to Shelly beach and meet up with Simone to get images of her daughter Taylor and her friends as a celebration of her 16th Birthday. Simone had organised the shoot as a surprise and the girls had no idea what was happening and arrived wearing blind folds. The girls went crazy when they found out it was a photo shoot. The girls had a fantastic time and we captured lots of fun images. If you would like to have a “Best friend’s” shoot please contact the studio on 43339668 or at www.risingstarphotography.com.au to book a time.
Kerrie and Peter had a magical wedding at Little Beach , MacMasters Beach NSW on the 18th September 2009. I first meet Kerrie several years ago during at portrait session at Umina Beach, where I had taken natural and candid photos of Kerrie and her kids. Kerrie and Pete had asked me to capture the same natural and candid shots of their wedding, due to the location of the Ceremony, and the fact that they are not “posy” people. As you can see from the images they make a great couple and I wish them and their family all the best. I hope you enjoy the images. Images by Darren Wamsley
This wedding was so cool, in fact Michelle and James are one cool couple. Everything about this wedding oozed coolness, Michelle’s wedding gown, designed by Essence of Australia and supplied by Brides to Be at Erina, is so beautiful. Michelle arrived at St Marys Church, Toukley in a Red 68 ford Mustang. St Marys is incredible inside and we were able to get fantastic shoots using natural light. The Church also has a gallery which is a great position to got fantastic high shots of the service. After the service we went to The Entrance for photos with the car and then onto Long Jetty. Long Jetty is a fantastic location and with a combination of a great bridal party and good weather we got some awesome images. One of my favourite shoots was achieved by standing on the rail along the Jetty. The Reception was held at Manon’s House Forresters Beach. James had once been a drummer in a punk band, and this was evident with the cool choice of music for their day that was supplied by Moby Disc. Keep an eye out for more pics to come soon. Keira and Chris had a lovely wedding at Iggys which is situated inside Iguana Joe’s on the Gosford waterfront. The weather was gorgeous, the bride was beaming and it was an awesome day :) Their daughter is so cute, and the bridal party were fantastic to work with. We headed out to Terrigal for photos at the Lagoon, The Haven and The Skillion. Here are some favourite images from Keira and Chris’s Big Day -
I recently photographed Keira, Chris and their daughter Mia at the beach during a pre wedding session. We had a ball and they made it too easy! Perfect weather, perfect couple and their daughter is just so adorable. If you would like to book a family session on the beach or at a park etc give us a call on 43339668.
I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since Lisa and Paul booked me. This wedding was at a little church in Cooranbong with photos taken at Catherine Hill Bay and reception at Rafferty’s Resort at Cams Wharf. I couldn't love my job any more. I feel so lucky to have the responsibility of capturing people's true love and chemistry and, when the couples are amazing like Lisa and Paul, it just makes it all the better.
